Communication Portfolio Pages

This is my communication porfolio. This contains all the
things i have been doing in my latest project. And shows the main components to my magazine. This was my longest portfolio as it is my main project of this year.

Creative Realisation Portfolio Pages

These are my creative realisation portfolio pages which throughout contain the colour palette of my designs. I've used the pink the most as it is a main colour in my final line up.

Creative Drawing Portfolio Pages

This is my portfolio for creative drawing. this was one of my favourite pages to make as laying out the various components was enjoyable and i think show the type of thing that we learnt over this project.

Digital Fashion Portfolio Pages

These are the pages for my Digital fashion portfolio. They contain a range of colour which links to my brand Cadbury. I think it conveys the look of Cadbury very well and can hopefully be seen by the reader.

White Shirt Portfolio Pages

These are my portfolio pages for my white shirt project. I went for a grey theme throughout these pages as i felt it showed the detail well on the images and went well with the look of my shirt.

My Fashion CV

This is the CV i have written for my fashion course. This is a different type of CV to a normal one as its all about the skills you have learnt during your time at university. its more of a fashion CV than a CV to get ant random job.

Personal Statement

Before we started writing our CV's we needed to write a personal statement that was short and unique to you. It didn't have to say much but needed to explain the reason for you doing fashion

This is my personal statement

'As  a little girl, I always watched my grandma on the sewing machine and never thought much of it but she has been such an influence in my life which has lead me to do something that I feel I strive well in and can make her proud'

Fashion Audio - Tips Learnt

During Monday's session we listened to a fashion audio presented by Ferne Cotton. From that I learnt some tips that will hopefully help when trying to apply for jobs as well as what I need to know before applying.

  • It's 99% hard work
  • trust your instincts and gut feelings
  • there's 1000's of jobs in fashion - different areas and departments
  • Topshop like to update vintage garments and re design them to fit the women of today
  • sports wear is one of the most influential factors of fashion - each member of a football team such as Chelsea has a football kit tailor made for them
  • try out different areas of fashion
  • make sure you KNOW Photoshop and illustrator
  • NEVER leave your designs with a designer - they may steal your ideas
  • learn how to answer the brief
  • the basics are the most important thing
Just few of the areas I could possibly go into:

  • sportswear
  • children swear
  • sample machinist
  • pattern cutter
  • illustrator
  • buyer
  • garment technologist
  • designer
  • hats
  • footwear
