Fashion Audio - Tips Learnt
During Monday's session we listened to a fashion audio presented by Ferne Cotton. From that I learnt some tips that will hopefully help when trying to apply for jobs as well as what I need to know before applying.
- It's 99% hard work
- trust your instincts and gut feelings
- there's 1000's of jobs in fashion - different areas and departments
- Topshop like to update vintage garments and re design them to fit the women of today
- sports wear is one of the most influential factors of fashion - each member of a football team such as Chelsea has a football kit tailor made for them
- try out different areas of fashion
- make sure you KNOW Photoshop and illustrator
- NEVER leave your designs with a designer - they may steal your ideas
- learn how to answer the brief
- the basics are the most important thing
